- We install primarily in PA, York, Lancaster, Harrisburg, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NY, CT
- We install typical size backyard structures in an approximate 200-mile radius from our location. Outside this approximate range, it becomes cost-prohibitive for the customer.
- For larger units [such as 24×24 and larger] we are happy to travel further
- Shipping for DIY kits – where do you ship to?
- Other than timber frame kits, we rarely ship outside a 500-mile radius from our location

Founded by Abner King and his oldest son Ivan in 1978, Pequea was started primarily to manufacture sheds. However, in 1987, gazebos were added to the line of backyard structures. In 2006 Steven and Calvin (sons of Abner) stepped into ownership with Ivan. The same year a fire destroyed the gazebo and shed facility. Although tragic, this forced them to build a better and bigger shop. The expansion inspired them to explore other types of outdoor structures. In 2008 two new lines of buildings, namely, wood and vinyl pavilions and pergolas, were added to the already existing range of outdoor gazebos. Pequea delivers these beautiful structures to homes and businesses throughout Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and beyond.
The builders at Pequea are an Amish-Mennonite Family. Their willingness to work hard enabled them to involve the whole family and grow the business. Pequea was family-owned and family-operated from the beginning, and customers still value the personal touch and quality that brings. When they build an outdoor gazebo, pavilion, or pergola, they take pride in what they are doing and make every effort to produce structures that are durable yet affordable. The builders at Pequea would rather sacrifice quantity for quality than sell a vinyl or wood pavilion, pergola, or gazebo that fails to meet the high expectations of their customers.

Our Outdoor Living Building Facility
The Pequea outdoor living manufacturing facility is located at 211 New Holland Road, Kinzers, PA 17535. The facility has seen significant growth over the past two decades. Because of a fire in the outdoor gazebo plant in 2006, Pequea was forced to rebuild the entire facility. The new, larger facility offered increased shop space and dedicated construction areas allowing us to produce pergolas and pavilions. In 2021, we opened a state-of-the-art shop specifically designed for timber frame manufacturing.
